| Here are some great books to help
with your bodybuilding lifestyle. I will continue to list
the best books for bodybuilding training and nutrition.
You can purchase any of these books by clicking on
them. All purchasing is done through Amazon.com, one of
the most popular on-line book stores, unless otherwise stated. If I do not list a
specific book you need, you can use the search box below to find
it.

The
Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding
by Arnold Schwarzenegger
Buying this book is the best purchase I have ever made on any
bodybuilding item. It covers bodybuilding history,
training (routines and exercises for each body part), dieting,
competition preparation and injuries. This large book has over 800 pages of pictures and in
depth information. |

Pumping Iron - DVD
The best bodybuilding documentary ever made. And now
it is on DVD! This documentary follows Arnold
Schwarzenegger and other bodybuilders on their quest to be
the best. |

Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder
by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Douglas Kent Hall
Here is a book to use for inspiration. It does not contain
in depth information about training or diets, but an
autobiography of Arnold, still one of the sport's biggest icons. |

Brother Iron, Sister Steel
by Dave Draper
Brother Iron, Sister Steel is a private journey into bodybuilding as only Dave Draper, former Mr. America, Mr. Universe and Mr. World, can tell it. Training techniques, exercise descriptions and nutritional strategies form the book's foundation, but what glues this book together are Dave's personal experiences and insights, humor and candidness, all of which speak to the heart and soul. The delight in the iron work, the play of the steel and the redefined motivation will have you striving. |

The
Complete Book of Food Counts
An absolute lifesaver for creating your diets. This
book lists almost all the foods you can think of, including
most fast food restaurant's foods. The lists include
calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat and more. It's
cheap and has helped my diets tremendously. |

The Poliquin Principles
by Charles Poliquin
Charles Poliquin is a very famous strength coach. He has
trained many athletes from the Olympics to professional
sports. He does emphasize strength, but also the
importance of form and technique. |

The
Bodybuilder's Nutrition Book
by Franco Columbu, Lydia Fragomeni
This book is reviewed as having great information on
macronutrients and micronutrients. However, it is not up
to date on supplements. This would be a good book for
learning the basics of food and its nutritional values. |

Gray's Anatomy
This is a great (and cheap) book for reference detailing the
human body. |
